I've been in McAllen, TX since just before the new year. It's a small city a handful of miles from the Mexican boarder. It's technically a city, but has a very small-town vibe. You run into the same people again and again - I guess that's normal most places but it's kind of weird coming from such a sprawling city as Los Angeles.
Myself and three crew members took a road trip 3.5 hours north to San Antonio for the weekend. It was a nice, small city getaway from a much smaller McAllen. We left Sunday morning and made it back Monday night. Our weekend was full of food, drinks and, exploring. Ultimately it was an amazing photo safari.
I had recently bought a ton of instax film for my lomo instant print camera, and got a few additional packs in the mail for my birthday. I took about 35 shots total in San Antonio and probably close to 100 more on my phone. Here are a fun unedited instant print shots:
