2015 was a great year filled with work and travel from January through December and some downtime in between to relax and have fun.
Between summer and fall paid producing gigs I began working on a personal video project with one shooting/producing partner to gain more experience in documentary production and keep working at what I love (though I'd hardly considered this project work). The goal of the project is to create documentary portraits of fascinating people that make Los Angeles the beautiful and eclectic city that it is. Many people see my city as superficial but there's a ton of gold within the glitter. I'm currently bouncing between two documentary pieces that I'm really excited about - both dealing with important issues facing our society. One seems to be a nice and contained short while the other has potential for us to run with. I can't wait to move forward with edits and eventually get something finished and posted on my site.
I also look forward to jumping back into producing tv, but downtime is always appreciated as well. There's endless stories to find and to tell and I look forward to a year filled with paid work and personal "work".
